Birth & postpartum doula · Kristie Horton
You don’t have to walk into birth alone.
For 10 years I’ve walked with mothers and fathers through pregnancy, labor and the first weeks home. Steady support, honest information, and a heart that points to the One who made you.

Hi, I’m Kristie.
I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula and a peer lactation consultant. I share evidence-based information so you can make informed, confident decisions about your care, and then I support you in the decisions you make.
God has knit us together, fearfully and wonderfully, in our mother’s womb. I believe that, and it shapes how I serve every family I walk with.
Doula care
Support for every stage
01
Birth support
From early labor at home to the moment you hold your baby, I stay beside you. Comfort measures, positions, calm words and an extra set of hands, at the hospital, birth center or home.
02
Postpartum support
The weeks after birth matter just as much. I check in, help you settle, and stay reachable by phone, text or email for six weeks after your baby arrives.
03
Breastfeeding support
As a peer lactation consultant, I can help with your baby’s first feeding and the questions that come after it.
For dads, too
Supporting men on the journey to fatherhood
One of my favorite things about being a doula is the chance to support dads. Often they’re at a loss for what to do and just need a little guidance.
I’m an extra set of hands, so he can focus on your comfort. When he needs to step out to update family, grab something to eat or get some rest, he can go knowing you won’t be left alone.
Kristie, you are definitely in your calling. I couldn’t have gotten through that without you there.
Kind words
From the families I’ve served

Her knowledge of the fine details really helped relax my mind to concentrate on the labor and delivery with clear focus. She was very professional in everything, and at the same time very approachable.
She coached me and my wife in anything she saw that could be done to help, but not one time overstepped herself in any way. I come from a logistical military background, and this time I didn’t worry with ANY of the fine details with Kristie there.

I never thought I would have such a great doula who could coach me so well in the delivery room that I’d have no need for labor drugs. The lavender oil did help me stay calm. I’ll never forget that day!
A dream in progress
A little camper with a big purpose
I’m praying over a mobile maternity boutique: a renovated vintage camper that brings maternity clothing, birth education and real support to the communities where expectant mothers already are.

Seeds of Wonder
A class I’m planning for young ladies, as young as eight, about the wonder of how God designed their bodies.
